CMT
Review is expressly designed to take advantage of the educational
access television channels provided by cable companies throughout
the state.
•The State of Connecticut is divided into 24 cable
franchise areas with a total subscriber base of 1,118,350
representing a penetration rate of 75 per cent.
•The State has required that each cable company supply
an educational public access channel to each town or
school district.
•These channels are controlled and programmed by each
town or school district with whatever programming their
school district deems appropriate.
•CMT Review is designed to run specifically on these
cable access channels thereby substantially helping to
reduce ethnic and economic isolation.
CMT
Review is designed to supply:
•A targeted menu of highly flexible programming that can
be adapted specifically for the educational needs of each
school district
•An individual assessment of each town’s cable television
infrastructure.
•All technical services required to broadcast the CMT
Review programming over their cable channels.
CMT
Review takes maximum advantage of the Connecticut cable
industry’s enormous infrastructure to deliver extremely
targeted, town by town, instructional curriculum that matches
the standards set by the State of Connecticut Department
of Education.
